The 6.5″ woofer in the PS 165 FX kit has an aluminum chassis that is extremely rigid and non magnetic, Focal’s new Flax Cone Design that is more dynamic, features a neutral sound without coloration, has a natural reproduction and is hung by a Butyl surround. This all provides excellent sound quality/reproduction and excellent reliability. The phase plug in the center of the PS 165 FX’s Flax Cone creates better sound dispersion than the PS 165 F woofer.
Processed Aluminum/Magnesium inverted dome tweeter for smoothness and definition without directivity. The tweeter is equipped with the new poron suspension for long life.
These speakers utilize a powerful bi amp crossover design.
